Must-have toys this Christmas are some of the most
exciting and interactive ever, say the UK Toy Retailers Association (TRA). From high-tech tablet computers for kid’s to dolls that double as bedroom lights and toys that can hold a conversation or play in a band.
This year some amazing technological advancements from the toy industry have been used to enrich the whole experience of play says the Chairman of the UK Toy Retailers Selection Panel, Gary Grant. The top 70 toys included strong representation from creative and construction toys, plus toys that ignite the imagination and action. Licensed and character toys from Dr Who, Moshi Monsters and Star Wars are a hugely popular trend.
The 2011 annual ‘Dream Toys’ list as predicted by the TRA, the UK toy industry’s official predictions of the
Christmas best-sellers, is full of fantastic toys with a technological twist e.g. hightech
tablet computers for kid’s, dolls that double as bedroom lights, and toys that can communicate or play in a band with you. More than ever before, children can now
interact and engage with their toys.
